Regardless of the size or model, or the features that you select, each Maine Cedar Hot Tub we build is assembled to the same high standards. Learn more about our:
Our Conventional line of Tubs combines the beauty and durability of cedar with the convenience of modern operating systems and controls. These Tubs are available in both natural Cedar and cold-moulded versions. We offer dedicated electric, gas, and oil-fired heating systems or, in some situations, we can provide a heat exchanger based design that allows the tub to be integrated with the home’s central heating system. Cartridge style filters and ozone based water purification systems are standard on all conventional Tub models. Beyond the basic system, each Tub can have as many features as the owner desires, electing to build a simple hot tub or a full feature spa. Hydrotherapy jets, air injection systems and lighting systems are all available as are numerous control options. Tubs can be configured as freestanding units or as inserts for decks. Standard diameters are available in 1ft increments from 4 to 9ft., standard depths are 3 ft., 3.5 ft., and 4 ft. Custom sizes and seating arrangements are available on request.

Exercise Tubs are a recent addition to our lines. They are available in either natural cedar or cold-moulded versions and are offered with all the features of our conventional line. These tubs are quite large; typically 7 ft. to 9 ft. in diameter and with wall heights of 5 ft. to 6 ft. Tubs of this size can accommodate water depths sufficient for their owners to conduct water aerobics or other water exercise and/or therapy regimens. These are thoroughly enjoyable low impact methods of exercise that are very beneficial and gaining in popularity.

Our wood-fired Tubs emulate the features of a Japanese Ofuro. They were designed primarily for rural settings and have become welcome additions at many remote cabins, lakeside retreats, and country homes. These Tubs allow their owners to enjoy a relaxing soak without pumps, plumbing, or electricity; access to water, a little dry firewood, and the time to enjoy the experience are all that’s required. These Tubs are heated by a unique submersible wood stove; a concept that was developed at the University of Alaska in the 1970’s and improved by our engineers over the past several years. Our stoves have been designed to deliver maximum heating efficiency while occupying a minimum amount of space in the tub. The process of building our stoves emphasizes the same attention to detail inherent in our Tubs; stove parts are cut from marine grade aluminum on computer controlled machinery, each stove is formed and finish welded on precision assembly jigs and finally each stove is pressure tested before being placed in service. Stove and Tub combinations are available to accommodate from two to ten people. Some options and features are available but most owners choose and enjoy the simplicity of the basic models.
